Today, I look back and try to reflect all the good things and times that have happened in my life. Then i am reminded by all the bad has happened. I first diagnosed with Bipolar back in 198. I had a real manic episode, bought lots of things, very hyper and got very little sleep. I was then hospitalized for 2 weeks until the lithium subsided and I was okay to come home and go to college. In my second semester, I made the biggest mistake of going off cold turkey...eventually in my first semester of my junior year I became explosively manic...walked away from the football(which I worked so hard to make, partying very hard, every night, getting hardly any sleep. I took off from school, and Had hullucinations that I was going to play football at abig ten school..and drove there...Then I decided to drive home and tell my parents I was transferring....I got pulled over going 145mph by state police and they locked me up. Called my parents, they came and got me and some how got me hospitalized( I was so strong and manic it took 4 huge guards to detain me AT THE hospital)- as a result, I was hospitalized for 4 straight weeks( after being in restraints for the Ist 5 days) After I got out, I was so depressed!!! Lost college, all my friends and independence.Since then I have only had powerful bouts with depression. Now I am unemployed,no friends and fortunately a caring family..I feel all alone!!!!!!!!!!Can anyone relate to this?? Please respond!

You went through a very difficult time in your life. You are in my prayers. You have a caring family and you will get better and better. Have faith and take care of yourself. God bless you.

I am learning quite quickly that you are not alone. I am new to posting but it has been a God send. I understand the feelings of being alone and feeling isolated. It is hard to talk to people. I'm glad to hear you have a supportive family. Take that and with faith you can feel better. Are you on any meds?
