Just checking in

I am really proud of myself reight now. I leave for college thursday. This will be the third time I have left for college. Every other time was a complete and utter disaster. Everytime other time I left I not only said that I was ready to make others believe it but also to make myself believe it. I wanted more than anything to be back at school but honestly if I had admitted to myself I was still too sick to go. But now when I say that I absolutely believe it. I am ready. I feel more confident and I believe in myself more than I have ever had. My meds are working well and episodes of my crazyness have been minimal. And when they did happen I was able to control myself so that I didnt do anything dumb. I am so excited for thursday but also a little nervous. Im nervous about making friends because I havent always been the best at that. I get so nervous around people I don't know but I have been getting a whole lot better at that I think. I am excited and very proud of myself. But I also wanted to put this up here to let others know that it gets better. I have been in your shoes. When I was I didnt believe that it could get better which is why I wanted to share this with you. God Bless all of you and I know that whatever you are struggling with you will get better because God will take care of you. You only have to let him do so.

You have every reason to be proud of yourself. Whether it may be your third time or fifteenth, you're trying. Which is way more than many do. Try to calm your nerves by breathing. Try a breathing exercise before you leave, it tends to help me when I start getting anxiety about thing.
oh & congratulations. (:

Melissa, Christ is the King of Peace, may He put peace in my heart. i say this now and again and again and it helps me a lot. it is still hard taking care of them though. because you are focusing your recovering on God and His miraculous care, and are letting Him so care for you, you will be successful. Congratulations on this milestone! all love and peace, maria stanisz

Awesome!!!! You have all rights to be proud of yourself!!! You and me are going through the same thing. 3 years in college, each year worst than the next. Felt very hopeless. But I've got better and attempted a new college and feel much better now. I'm really glad you posted this. I don't feel alone anymore. Especially with the difficulty in socializing. I'm still working on that too.

How exciting!
That's wonderful! I am new here and already i see there are people with similar struggles. I have also attempted college twice now and have had bad expierences trying to push myself into something that i was not ready for. I have always had some trouble with social interaction, but i have always found it gets easier the more i find the strength to put myself out there. I hope you have a wonderful expierence! Congrats!
