Is anyone else taking Geodon 160 mg daily? If so, how is it working for you? How do you function through drowsiness? And what foods help the medication to absorb well for you? Thanks. This is my first time in a support group. I am a little frightened by the medication. I want to ask my doc if I can just take the 160mg at night rather than take 80 mg twice per day. This stuff knocks me out but I hope that it helps. Thanks.

Hello, luvmi88, you can read my post by ChellBell0613. I do not take as much as yourself, but have experienced some draw backs when I went up on my dosage. I do not know if it is me going through a depressive state coincidentally or if I need to up my dosage or lower it a bit. I was doing wonderful at 40mg, then pschy asked me to up to 80mg and I feel like my sliver lining cloud has been pulled right from under my feet. Have you experienced any of this while going up on your dosage? Thanks...

I do get down, but it's more of an extremely sleepy state. I also notice that I become slightly irritable. Has your side affects worn off any? My hopes are that the sleepiness wears off. Until I get my doc's approval I am still taking 80mg at lunch and 80mg at dinner...

I took Geodon and I got Flipped T waves in my heart and they thought I had had a heart attack so I can not take it ever again, but I felt it did not help my Bi-polar, Good luck to you..Goofy17
