Does anyone experience this?

Posted in Group:

I have repetitive short term memory loss. To the people I talk to I tend to repeat myself constantly without any recollection of having mentioned whatever I said prior. My sister seems to think I'm on the brink of psychosis. My dad is concerned that I'm getting ready to "pop". I didn't realize I was doing this and now I'm concerned. Has anyone ever experienced this and is it a sign that I'm on the edge of losing it again?

Memory loss is a sign of a mental illness. I have suffered from short term memory loss myself for quite some time. It affects me in ways I cant stand. I could be driving to work, get half way there and forget to turn on my lights at night. I even have to write little notes for myself to remember the simplest things. I think the best way to deal with this is taking things one day at a time, being patient. Not to stress too much, and worry about going insane. Come up with strategies to help with your daily routines.
